Singed Grey | Short Documentary
Singed Grey is a short student documentary revolving around the Community Fire Unit in the rural mountains of Sydney, Australia.
Synopsis:
A small community of Elderly Australians in Sydney, NSW, tells their stories of togetherness and friendship and admits the dangers of living in the isolated bush.
The Community Fire Unit (CFU) and the Rural Fire Unit (RFU) are two unpaid, volunteer firefighting units that band together both during times of crisis and through the overgrown winter months. In 'Singed Grey', explore how they train to help protect both their homes and the homes of their neighbours at a time in their lives when many wouldn't or couldn't put in the effort.
